Terms of Service
These terms apply when you use the free calculator or buy a report on Day Pillar. The short version: we say exactly how the charts are cast, you get the files you paid for, and neither of us pretends this is anything other than an interpretive tradition.
What Day Pillar provides
A free, no-sign-up BaZi calculator, and paid downloadable PDF reports. A purchased report is delivered as an instant download at a permanent link created at checkout — there is no account, and the link is yours to keep.
Reports are interpretive, not advice
BaZi is a traditional Chinese system for reading a life in terms of the Five Elements. Reports are offered for reflection and entertainment. Nothing in them is medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice, and no specific outcome is promised or implied. Decisions you make remain yours alone.
How charts are cast
Charts are computed according to the published conventions — the Li Chun year boundary, the late-zi day rule, true solar time with the equation of time, and historical time-zone handling. Where schools genuinely disagree, the disagreement is documented rather than hidden. If you believe a chart contains a genuine error rather than a documented school difference, write to us: real errors are fixed, logged in the public errata, and refunded — see the refund policy.
Payment and delivery
Prices are shown in US dollars at checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see your card details. Completing a purchase accepts these terms and the refund policy. Because delivery is an instantly generated file, please download and keep your copy — the permanent link exists so you can re-download, not as a subscription. If a link ever stops working, reply to your receipt email and we will re-issue the report.
What you may do with a report
A purchased report is licensed for personal use: read it, print it, share it with the people in your life. You may not resell it, republish it commercially, or run a reading service on top of it.
Liability
The site and the reports are provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Day Pillar's total liability for any claim arising from a purchase is limited to the amount you paid.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong and written in English. Nothing in them removes consumer rights you may have under the mandatory law where you live.
